TRON is a blockchain founded by Justin Sun, launched in 2018. TRX pays for network resources and is used for staking and voting.
⚡ Why it's interesting
It's a stablecoin highway: a large share of USDT transfers happen on TRON because they're cheap and quick, especially in emerging markets.
⚠️ Key risks
Governance is concentrated and closely associated with its founder, who has faced legal scrutiny. Heavy dependence on USDT means a Tether problem would be a TRON problem.
👀 What to watch
USDT supply on TRON, fees, competition from other stablecoin chains and any legal news around its founder. It's a payments rail first, a narrative second.
